Haunting Experiences....

Step inside the Saracen Head and you could be forgiven for thinking you've stepped back in time. Everywhere you look there are artifacts from a distant time, and pictures of yesteryear. There are old guns from Jacobite times, a handwritten poem by Rabbie Burns, and perhaps most famously, the skull of Maggie - the last witch to be burned at the stake. All this history must have some attachment to it you might say, and you would be right! It is believed that the pub is haunted by, among others, the ghost of a former owner, Angus Ross. The Ghost Finders Scotland team, the Daily Records Brian McIver and current owner Anne McGuigan have investigated paranormal activity in the Saracen Head and have discovered things that send a shiver up your spine.
